Background

Kula Palms Fiji is a Natural Skin Care business, established in 2016 by fifth generation Copra Planters at Kuladrusi Estate, Savusavu Fiji.

The founders of this business come from a long line of Copra farmers who solely depended on the Copra industry as a source of livelihood. When the Copra prices reduced in the late 90’s things changed for them, they thought to value add by diversifying and manufacturing coconut based natural skincare products from traditional skin healing herbs.

They researched into soap and body oil making, and also found that skin ailments are quite common in the tropics and tops the list of illnesses that affect families, mainly children. They were the first producers of Activated Charcoal Soaps in Fiji and the first to commercialize the herbal Rewa oil back in 2016.

Today, Kula Palms manufactures over 10 different soaps and oils. They have also been able to set up a retailing space at the FNPF Plaza in Suva and have started exporting (small scale) to New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. They are a recently established business and they believe what sets them apart from everyone else in the Natural Skin Care line is the amazing skin healing feedback they receive on their social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram). Kula Palm’s herbal soaps and oils have been effective in treating skin irritations including extreme cases of eczema, itchiness and psoriasis.
